Benefit for Dietrich Theater
We raised over $1000 for the flood ravaged theater. It’s been an amazing transformation over the last few months and I’m honored to help my friends at the Dietrich any way I can.
Special thanks to my compadres Lorne Clarke, Michael Jerling, and the lovely and talented KJ Wagner. A good time was had by all.
More broke than teeth in a meth lab. But music is worth it.
Back to the studio on March 1st.

Every Picture Tells a Story
Somebody asked me recently what the most influential record I listened to growing up was. I could have easily said the entire Who catalog….but something kept nagging at me. And then I remembered what it was…
Yea….this is the one. Everything I love about popular music is in here.
Of course, this Rod Stewart doesn’t exist anymore. But for a few years in the 70s (not to mention his time with The Faces), he was as good as it gets. Aside from writing or co-writing great songs (“Maggie May”, “Mandolin Wind”, the title track), he had an impeccable ear for covering others (“I’m Losing You” is the best white Motown cover ever, and “Tomorrow Is a Long Time” has long been my favorite Dylan re-make).
The 70s never got any better than this. I quite literally wore this record out. Had to buy it again. Ralph’s record city. Man I miss that place…

I don’t ask that much of music…
I don’t ask that much of music. As long as it completely changes my life, I’m Ok with it.
Otherwise, I can go without.

Some demos for the band…
Back to the studio on March 1st. Writing and tweaking some new songs. Here’s a throwaway that I might keep. The boys could have a good bash on this one…
